As B2B technology marketers, many of us spend much of our working lives trying to understand IT decision-makers. What makes them tick? What are their current interest areas? How do we get them to read the content and emails we’re creating for them? How can I get an appointment with them to tell them about my company’s great services?

The Other Side of the Desk

As B2B technology marketers, many of us spend much of our working lives trying to understand IT decision-makers. What makes them tick? What are their current interest areas? How do we get them to read the content and emails we’re creating for them?  How can I get an appointment with them to tell them about my company’s great services?

To answer some of these questions (and more), we’ve invited, John Richardson, COO of Rheumatology Associates and first president of IAMCP Dallas in for a peer to peer discussion on his insights from the other side of the desk.   We will be asking him what it’s like to be on the receiving end of our attention, what we’re doing well, and what we stink at.

In this session, John will speak about the good old days of technology marketing & sales, why he’d like to see more storytelling from technology marketers, and how CIOs buy technology.  We will learn about the buying journey of CIO’s, CFO’s and COO’s.

Some questions which we will ask John are:

·         Could you describe your tech buying journey?

·         How would you describe your bigger business journey

·         How much time a week do you get to learn about technology, given your busy schedule?

·         Which emails do you read?

·         I remember speaking with you about the high number of technology-related events. Today, on average, how many invites do you get a week, and what makes you want to attend?

Don’t miss out on this insightful journey into how executives buy IT services.  Bring your questions and a friend to this very important IAMCP meeting!

Lunch will be served.  Please register early so we know how much food to procure for this meetingl
